Research at INMEGEN

Scientific research is the major task of the National Institute of Genomic Medicine. The main purpose of this strategy is to establish the foundations of medical practice based on the genomic structure of the Mexican populations and their epidemiological needs. The choice of research areas is influenced by global advances achieved by research in this discipline and available human resources. This proposal emphasizes the relevance of scientific research programs that contribute to solving specific problems of the most common conditions in Mexico through projects that are carried out within and outside the Institute and reinforce its research priorities.
