OECD

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has become one of the world’s most influential forums, wherein guidelines are analyzed and established regarding topics of international relevance in economy, science, education and health.

Genomic medicine and biotechnology are considered by many to be part of the next great knowledge-based economic revolution, creating new opportunities for the development of nations, which is why good practices are required for their correct management.

The National Institute of Genomic Medicine is part of the Mexican delegation in the biotechnology and innovation work groups of the OECD, where Mexico has been a member since 1994.
