Workshop “Technologies for genetic analysis”

Within the academic activities  series  will be conducted this year under the Slim Genomic Medicine framework, today opened the Workshop “Technologies for genetic analysis” where participated Institute Carlos Slim Health, the Broad Institute and the National Institute of Genomic Medicine.

Inauguration was held in the Auditorium of INMEGEN Permanent Headquarters and was attended by its Director General, Dr. Xavier Soberon; Dr. Roberto Tapia-Conyer, Director of  Carlos Slim Health; Dr. Maria de los Angeles Fernandez, Director of Educational Programs & Outreach of INMEGEN;  Dr. Marisa Cortes, Coordinator of  Initiative Slim Genomic Medicine and Dr. Miguel Betancourt, Director of Global Solutions of  Institute of Health Carlos Slim.

During two days the event will have the presence of  distinguished personalities. By the Broad Institute, Dr. Wendy Winckler, Director, Genetic Analysis Platform;  Robert Nicol, Director of Sequencing Operations and Technology Development;  Jane Wilkinson and Andrew Crenshaw, Associate Directors of the Platform for Genetic Sequencing and Melissa Parkin and Ryan Hegarty and Technical Development Managers Genetic Analysis Platform, and by  INMEGEN Dr. Jorge Melendez, Assistant Director of Basic Research;   M. in C. Karol Carrillo and M. in C. Fabiola Morales and Dr. Ricardo Grande, Institute of Biotechnology, UNAM, who through a series of will be explain to more than 500 attendees the genetic technologies application as well as progress sequencing samples in both costs and processes.
