On Friday, June 29, , was held at INMEGEN Auditorium, Torre Zafiro, the Seminar “Cancer Genome Analysis: Computational Challenges and Approaches” given by Dr. Gad Getz,  Cancer Genome Computational Analysis Director from Broad Institute .

Dr. Getz said when analyzing data obtained from cancer genome may of them can complicate the search for genetic alterations in cancer. Therefore Dr. Getz and his research group developed a method to identify genes and mutations. This method is intended to supplement the level of characterization of a tumor, its evolutionary history and mechanism it way through the next-generation sequencing.
