Theorical Course “PCR real time”

Last February 21, 22, 2012, its took place Theoretical Course “Real-time PCR”. PCR means polymerase chain reaction and is a technique used to amplify and simultaneously quantify, deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA).

Throughout two days were discussed topics such as introduction to real-time and overview of their applications and results analysis, which following participants to learn and know an increase overview of PCR characteristics and its main applications. It was shared with audience the INMEGEN experiences in allelic discrimination and relative quantification.

On 5 and 6 July was held at the National Institute of Genomic Medicine (INMEGEN), the workshop entitled “Genome wide association analysis” carried out under the framework of the SLIM initiative in Genomic Medicine Institute where Carlos Slim collaborate Health, the Broad Institute and INMEGEN.

The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Maria de los Angeles Fernandez, Director of Education and Outreach of INMEGEN, Dr. Marisa Cortes, Manager of the Slim for Genomic Medicine Initiative and Dr. Miguel Betancourt, Director of Global Solutions of Carlos Slim Health Institute.

Xavier Soberon Mainero, Director General of INMEGEN and Commissioner President of Federal Institute of Access to Information (IFAI), Jacqueline Peschard.
